Mr. Shamsuddin Ahmed Shaikh

Mr. Shaikh has extensive professional experience with 34+ years in mining, manufacturing, sales, commercial and supply chain areas. As CEO of NRL, he participated in the negotiations with Barrick and Antofagasta that resulted in the settlement of the USD 6Bn Reko Diq mining dispute. Previously, he single-mindedly and with great humility made Pakistan’s USD 2Bn Thar Coal large-scale mining project a reality which was elusive to all past campaigners for decades. Mr. Shaikh is also the Chairman of Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation (PMDC).
In addition to the numerous Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects undertaken under his leadership, Mr. Shaikh devotes his personal time to philanthropic activities; guiding and leading non-profit organizations focused on human resource development in Pakistan. Currently he also serves as Chairman of Charity Right Association of Pakistan.
